But the layers are diplayed in the side pane of the viewer - where I can toggle the visibility. OpenOptions allows you to set these document opening features.It now supports the option of opening Layer. On the layers panel, right click on a layer and select properties to set this value. It is these default values that determine the visibility on opening. PDF.js, like many others viewers do not support JS within PDFs. All layers have a default visibility value. I've also tried 'PDF Studio Viewer 2019' from the Mac App Store, which supports layers, but when I 'Save As' the file it includes all the layers. In Adobe Acrobat I can toggle the visibility of those layers via JavaScript included in the PDF. I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Acrobat, and I was able to save the document with just the selected layers, however this is an expensive option for something that will get minimal use. Preview doesn't have much going on with layers, and just shows the document as if it were a flattened file, and Adobe Reader will allow me to select/deselect layers, but won't let me save a copy with just the selected layers. The copy shop doesn't have the option to select/deselect the layers, and I only want 3 of approximately 10 layers printed.
